Search useful content
Search for a topic with normal words, then narrow by source, language, duration, date, difficulty, and other filters. Logged-in Search can also return matching Public Lists alongside individual content.
How FoundOnArdy works
Find it. Save it. Organize it. Share what is worth keeping.
A simple illustrated-style guide to FoundOnArdy Search, Desktop Categories, Private Categories, Public Lists, Following, and List alerts.
The key idea
A Category is your folder. A Public Category becomes a List.
When you create a Category on your Desktop, choose Private or Public. Private Categories are for your own organization. Public Categories are shown to other logged-in users as Public Lists. The visibility choice is permanent.
2 · Save
Keep what matters
Save useful records to your Desktop instead of relying on browser history or remembering where you found them.
3 · Organize
Build Categories and subcategories
Organize saved content into a hierarchy such as AI → RAG → Evaluation. Subcategories inherit the visibility of their parent.
4 · Private or Public
Publish only when you choose
A Private Category stays personal. A Public Category becomes a List that logged-in users can discover, open, follow, and react to.
5 · Discover & Follow
Follow useful Lists
Following keeps a live List in the “Lists you follow” section of your Desktop. It does not automatically send notifications.
6 · Stay updated
Add an optional List alert
Choose a daily or weekly email alert for a List when you want updates delivered. Following and alerts are separate choices.
Example
Best RAG Tutorials
Imagine creating a Category called “Best RAG Tutorials.” Keep it Private if it is just for you. Make it Public at creation and it becomes a List: other logged-in users can discover it in Search, see its items and nested public subcategories, follow it, like or dislike it, and optionally create a List alert.
Private really means private
Public/Private visibility cannot be switched later. This prevents accidental exposure of private organization.
Public List identity
Your username is shown as the List creator; your email is not. Public List descriptions remain editable.
Public List names
A Public List name can be changed during the first 24 hours, then locks so followers are not unexpectedly following a different topic.
Community controls
Logged-in users can like or dislike Lists, report a List for review, and block a creator from their own experience.
Account boundary
The guide is public. Public List functionality requires login.
Logged-out visitors can read how FoundOnArdy works here, but Public List search, browsing, opening, following, reactions, and List alerts require a FoundOnArdy account.
